Spadel and Trasis Awarded at Company of the Year03/11/2017
The company which, in particular, markets the waters of Spa has taken over from Daoust, the prize winner in 2017. In a different category, Trasis, specialising in manufacturing, packaging and administration equipment and solutions for radio-pharmaceutical drugs, was elected "Promising Enterprise of the Year".
A European family group specialising in the production of natural mineral waters, spring waters and natural refreshing drinks, Spadel markets six brands: Spa and Bru in Benelux, Devin in Bulgaria, Wattwiller and Carola in France, and Brecon Carreg in the United Kingdom. The company currently has 1,287 employees and the turnover in 2016 was €250.4 million.
The prize was presented to the CEO Marc du Bois by the Prime Minister Charles Michel, the Walloon Minister-President Willy Borsus and Denis Ducarme, the Minister for the Middle Class, SMEs, Self-employed, Agriculture and Social Integration.
Trasis received its award from the Minister of the Economy and was selected because the jury believed that it was a young growing enterprise that showed great capacities in terms of innovation, entrepreneurship, strategy, perseverance and openness to the world.This company's objective is clear: simple and secure access to radio-pharmaceutical drugs with a view to reducing suffering and fighting disease.
This competition has been organised since 1996 in order to reward Belgian companies that distinguish themselves by their innovative approach, internationalisation, entrepreneurial spirit, strategic vision, financial situation and tenacity.
